Excursion with a tourist train and fan requisites I FEEL Slovenia

- Do you know, that 400 million years old watercourse Lobnica is a unique world wonder, because it flows through the boutique virgin forest Šumik, where hides the mystical water sprite Jezernik?
- Do you know, that 99.99% of people do not know the secret underground world of colossally enchanted Pohorje Sleeping Beauty?

Welcome to the prestigious school excursion in a child-friendly Unicef town of Ruše, where you will experience ride on the tourist train, which you will remember the most for exciting atmosphere created by fan requisites I FEEL Slovenia and circular ride through the old centre of the town of Ruše, which had its first lower latin school (1645–1761) a century earlier than Maribor.
Excursion is intended for a visit of permanent photographic exhibitions titled AMAZING VIRGIN FOREST ŠUMIK and ENCHANTED POHORJE SLEEPING BEAUTY. You will also visit 400 million years old watercourse Lobnica and hear interpretation of 400 million years old supernatural phenomenon of golden rapids nearby remnants of the Globokar’s sawmill, which appears only in heavy rain and special light. On a world scale it is a unique supernatural wonder of the water circle Black lake–Black Sea, otherwise 400 million years old watercourse Lobnica, a humming pearl of the Pohorje mountainside, has a normal neutral colour.
The central location of the golden rapids in the Lobnica valley is worth to visit due to sports passion, natural beauties and cultural heritage. There you can make unforgettable photos and video clips, which you can upload on social media as lifelong cosmopolitan references. You will also get acquainted with a birthplace of the pharmacist professor Franc Minařik, who gave name to medals and recognition awards in Slovenian pharmacy, as well as a birtplace of the poet Janko Glazer, who gave name to the award for cultural achievements of the Municipality of Maribor.
Program:
PART 1: Gathering in the Guesthouse Ribič, Šarhova path 4, Ruše.
Welcome greetings are followed by guided visit to permanent photographic exhibitions titled Amazing virgin forest Šumik and Enchanted Pohorje Sleeping Beauty. Decorative collections of larger dimensions are placed on interior walls of the guesthouse.
PART 2: Field excursion by tourist train or your own bus.
We travel in a circular way. At the western roundabout called Lobniška riža we enter a colossal valley along the triple railway viaduct. Journey through the valley is finished after 5km, when we turn for a forest parking lot in the vicinity of remnants of the Globokar’s sawmill, where we learn about golden rapids, which appear only in heavy rain and other special physical conditions. The light on the stone of wisdom has supernatural power, while the ambient of green luxury reflects its own colourful therapeutic picture.
PART 3: Birthplace of the pharmacist Minařik and poet Glazer.
When we return to the town of Ruše, we cross the Lobnica creek and ride through the birthplace of the pharmacist professor Franc Minařik (9 June 1887 – 9 June 1972) and poet Janko Glazer (21 March 1893 – 2 February 1975).
PART 4: Circular panoramic ride on the tourist train.
PART 5: Panoramic ride on the tourist train through the old centre of the town of Ruše.
PART 6: Separation at the roundabout called Ruška vrata.
Duration: 2–3 hours.
Number of participants:
- 40–50 participants (one bus/one train ride)
Select type of participation:
- Type A – by your own bus (local guide travels on your bus)
- Type B – by tourist train (which you board in Ruše).
Contribution:
- Type A – 10 EUR per participant
- Type B – 20 EUR per participant
Contribution for local guidance and organisation of the excursion is paid in accordance with donation agreement when you make a reservation. Your donation contributes to co-financing of nonprofitmaking activities Natura 2020.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The excursion ‘Lobnica, 400 million years old humming pearl of the Pohorje mountainside’ establishes contact with the Essence nearby cultural heritage of remnants of the Globokar’s sawmill. It also reveals interpretation of the supernatural wonder, hardly repeatable golden rapids. We can not guarantee, that the rapids will be visible on a day of your excursion in royal golden colour. However, we assure you, that you will have a fantastic fun during the ride on the tourist train. We will also uncover the enigma of 400 million years old enchanted Pohorje Sleeping Beauty, the water power of the Lobnica creek, and water sprite Jezernik, the stone of glassworks wisdom and art. A visit to the virgin forest Šumik/Grand Šumik waterfall is not a part of the excursion!!!
IMPORTANT – various disabilities friendly adventure
Visit to the location of well protected 400 million years old mystery of the golden rapids of the Lobnica creek is many times a huge challenge for people with various disabilities. Thus, it is acceptable, that a participant uses a transport with its own vehicle, which also travels a local guide in.
